This project explores the human interaction with a responsive architectural system. The modules are created through origami-like folding and cutting, creating openings that vary in size as human force are acted upon the system. The modules are connected by wooden rods that allow the form to shift and change. The versatility of the form allows the structure to be utilized in different ways depending on the scenario, such as a screen/divider, bookshelf, or even seating area depending on the size of the openings. The form is also able to diffuse light depending on itsĀ shape, it varies from completely enclosed when the screen is pulled to the extreme, to semi-transparent when the screen is compressed to a certain extent. The form has unlimited future possibilities due to its flexibility, and we envisionĀ this to be a multi-purpose screen that can be interacted with.
