This project highlights people's senses and experiences as they travel through the site and enter the chapel. The simple geometric structures provide the basic functions a chapel needs and at the same time create spatial alignment and spatial hierarchy. Light is used as a medium to emphasize the alignment and hierarchy, and it also helps to maximize people’s experiences inside the chapel. The different openings not only frame the view, but also allow natural light to wash down the bell tower and the wall of the chapel, creating a sense of holiness.
